Placi started her involvement in entrepreneurship by setting up and running a number of business incubators in Oxfordshire, nurturing early stage technology businesses. Her strengths lie in assisting businesses get ready for investment and although she tends to be a technology generalist, in the past few years she has specialised in assisting companies in the  life sciences, media and green tech sectors. 

Placi has played key roles in a number of European Funded projects always aiming at helping high growth technology businesses realize their potential. She has developed a strong network of peers and business mentors, working with top level executives on leadership, strategy, planning and open innovation.

She is an experienced mentor and has been involved for 3 years in preparing Oxford Entrepreneurs Finalists for the IDEA IDOL competition as well as other businesses that need to improve their pitching techniques.
