This one day workshop is brought to you by the Solent Centre for Design and Innovation at Southampton Solent University. It dispels the myth that using 3D is a particularly challenging part of the Vectorworks software package, and now many commercial clients expect and enjoy the 3D view.  So join this programme to think creatively and confidently using 3D Vectorworks.

Aims: This workshop builds upon existing Vectorworks knowledge enabling delegates to change the view to 3D incorporating isometric and perspective views, containing a range of “hybrid” objects available in Vectorworks to maximise 3D abilities.  There will be the opportunity to model your own shapes using the toolset from simple solids to more complex NURBS surfaces, giving delegates the skill to develop their own “hybrid” objects in 3D, whilst maintaining high 2D standards.

Benefits and Outcomes: Throughout the day delegates will develop simple lighting skills, adding to the model and enhancing a finished view.  Through use of 3D, developing the ability to work off ground plane will be explored, enabling users to change working plane for objects placed in 3D format.  The simple presentation of rendered models in 3D objects will be explored, without resorting to Renderworks.
