Arthur is a Chartered Electrical Engineer and Fellow of the Institute of Electrical Engineers.  He has a first degree in Control Engineering and an MBA from Warwick.

With 15 years experience as an executive director (and shareholder) in both small and large technology companies, Arthur has experience in both Manufacturing and Service sectors.

Highlights of Arthur’s career include:

Automotive – fulfilling a senior position in major manufacturer responsible for Electronics Systems.   Arthur delivered many multi million pound projects with Japanese, American and European suppliers.

Manufacturing – High volume electronics.  Arthur was an Executive Director (Technical Director, then CEO) in a £5 million MBO, raised VC funding and eventually sold the business to a multinational.  This activity took place during the last big recession.   Arthur also managed the move of 200 jobs to a distant, new site and outsourced to China.

Services – Arthur was the CEO of a major UK Certification Body.  He restructured the organisation, which included a site move, and grew the business internationally.  He has worked with EU departments and the OECD and has been a UK representative on numerous international committees. He subsequently moved to a competitor as Chairman of a UK subsidiary.

In his previous position, Arthur was Director of the Solent Enterprise Hub for seven years, Angels for Growth business Angel network for four years and Wired Wessex for five years.
