Welcome to Innovation & Growth Solent
Paul Haley Portfolio Director

Paul is a highly motivated and adaptable business change manager. He has worked at the Managing Director level within domestic (and previously international) commercial markets, where tolerance to cross-cultural divergence is crucial to success. Paul has successfully combined creative problem-solving skills from an early design career with understanding of business processes. This is exemplified by his track record in formulation/fulfillment of business strategies, business risk analysis, and profitability initiatives in the IT and service supply sectors. His extensive knowledge in cross-cultural employment comes from a decade working as an expatriate in Africa, the Middle East, and Far East.
Paul is currently working as a business advisor within the SME and Local Authority markets to deliver a series of change motivation workshops. He is promoting the embracing of change as a work style within larger organizations as being more effective than increasing tolerance levels to change.
For the first manufacturing company in Dubai, Paul led the setup from original concept to £5m turnover within 3 years. This established the client as a leading dealer of high-quality handmade carpets for the lucrative palace refurbishment market with over 150 employees and full budgetary control. He also developed a strategy and business plan for restructuring a group of Ethiopian manufacturers, funded by the World Bank to break into world markets with local products.
Paul achieved his MBA with merits from the University of Southampton. He also holds a diploma in Coaching and Mentoring. He recently presented workshops on business, cross cultural conflicts, and organisational issues to students on the MBA course at the University of Southampton. Paul is a Fellow of the Chartered Management Institute, Institute of Sales and Marketing Management, and Institute of Leadership and Management. He is a member of the Institute of Marketing, Chartered Society of Designers, and Strategic Planning Society.
