UK industry is currently going through a very tough time. There is however an underutilised tax relief that enables companies to trigger tax refunds, claim tax credits or just avoid paying future taxes. This is Research & Development Tax Relief – also known as ‘R&D Tax Relief’ or ‘R&D Tax Credits’.
The R&D work that is eligible for relief is not restricted to any one industry and goes beyond typical ‘men in white coats’ scenarios. If you are an innovative business, you may well have work that would qualify for R & D Tax Relief.
This meeting will explain if your business qualifies for R&D Tax Relief and show you how you can go about claiming.
Presenter: Steven Levine, Chantrey Vellacott DFK.
Chantrey Vellacott DFK have already claimed additional tax refunds and savings for a number of clients in an eclectic mix of sectors running into £millions. Experience has shown that UK SME’s can often achieve a 75% enhancement on qualifying costs thereby reducing their corporation tax liabilities. Furthermore, loss making SME’s can surrender their R&D tax losses for cash refunds. This allows companies to extend their runway when budgeting for milestones or future fundraising rounds.
Steven heads the firm’s R&D unit, he is a member of the R&D Consultative Committee that has been established by HM Revenue & Customs.
